Kerri is proud to offer this heart-felt Bush Ballad, which is a true story from the Booie district of Kingaroy. White Crosses and the Rose lyrics were written by Kerri's father Glen Perrett and put to music by brother Dean Perrett. The song honours four young bush children, from a pioneering family, that passed away between 1894 and the early 1900s. The song paints the picture of the peaceful bushland they now rest in and the emotions that surround it. At that time the parents of these dear children planted roses by their gravesides and fast forward a century on and one rose bush has survived the tests of time to still bloom in honour of these dear souls.
